New Sound Expressions Video: Whatever Is True

My Sound & Healing Therapy CDs (see Latest Products on the left sidebar of this sight, CD Baby, iTunes, The Arts Expressed Facebook Music Store, digital distributors) are strictly instrumental, for the purpose of sound & healing therapy techniques released through the tunings, frequencies, settings, keys, intention, Holy Spirit, etc. My preference and objective for instrumental psalming on my CDs, is in preparing the way for the listener to intimately participate with/encounter Holy Spirit without previously recorded words. My videos, however, are recorded in live in gatherings, where oftentimes Scriptures and new songs spontaneously weave vocally throughout the instrumental psalming.

Land of Promise Gatherings, March 28, and February 28, 2015. All spontaneous new songs copyright Tammy Sorenson/Sound Expressions/The Arts Expressed 2015, including How Did We Get To Here?, and Yeshua, Name Above All Names. Tammy Sorenson/ Psalmist/Sound Expressions: equipping the Body of Christ to follow Holy Spirit leading as Conductor – waiting, receiving, awakening, activating, releasing, decreeing, Selahs, and pressing in to intimacy, encountering His Presence, the new song, and the NOW Word.

Restoring the Foundations: From Orphans to Sons

Orphans-SonsDo you or does anyone you know wrestle with

1) insecurity, jealousy, or low self-esteem?
2) serving God to earn His love?
3) medicating internal alienation, isolation or loneliness through food,
alcohol, drugs, shopping, etc.?
4) being driven by a need to succeed?
5) using people as objects to fulfill their goals?
6) anger & fits of rage?
7) always being in competition with others?
8) their primary identity centered around material possessions,
physical appearance, and activities?
9) manipulating &/or controlling others?

These are ‘symptoms’ of an ‘orphan spirit’ – a false self – at work. Holy Spirit came to guide us into ALL truth, so that He who the Son sets free is free indeed! The Father’s love is all about restoration of our true selves in the spirit of sonship: body, mind, soul & spirit! Personal sound and healing therapy ministry will be Holy Spirit led for all participants.

Join us for Restoring the Foundations: from Orphans to Sons, Today, Saturday, January 31, February 28, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at Land of Promise Church (see address below), Buffalo, MN (free will offering).

Equipping the Generations in Identity as Sons and Daughters

We have entered in to a strategic time in the history of our nation, and an appointed time for the will of Heaven to manifest on Earth in the Body of Christ. Creator God of the Old Testament has always been about the generations: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Son of God and the New Testament have always been about making disciples (not converts) and sheep nations: those who hear His voice and are obedient to Holy Spirit leading in being His vessels of manifesting and advancing the Kingdom of Heaven on the Earth. The Kingdom of Heaven is about the nature and attributes of Christ, i.e. His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, the glory of the Lord, the gifts of the Spirit, etc. flowing through earthly vessels who are one with Him as He is one with the Father. Signs and wonders that destroy the works of the kingdom of darkness, i.e. Satan and his demonic kingdom (sickness, disease, poverty, abuse, destruction, etc.), are to follow those who walk in Kingdom identity and obedience.

Somewhere between religious ideology, political correctness, and entertainment, the church is missing the mark with regard to the generations, beginning with the individual and identity. The Body of Christ must make the shift in the season we have NOW entered in to, particularly with our children and youth. The content of how we are “training up our children in the way they should go so that when they are old they will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6) must make a radical shift if we are going to BE the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth preparing the generations for Christ’s eternal rule and reign.

What does that mean exactly? Aside from the original Creation story and mandate in Genesis 1:28 (“Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.”), we have got to shift our teaching focus of the Scriptures and stories for our children and youth to New Covenant truths: the identity that Christ purchased through His death and resurrection on behalf of the Kingdom being at hand. The entire purpose of the Old Testament leads to Christ. Our children and youth need to know the Creation story and the power of the Word. They need to know Heaven’s original plan for creating and bringing man into the picture. They also need to know the first Adam blew it for all of us, but most importantly, that the second Adam, Christ Himself, restored it all again (Genesis 1:28) for anyone who would choose Him. From there, the focus must shift to New Testament, New Testament, and New Testament for this up and coming generation, and the shift must be done according to the ways in which children and youth learn, most importantly being experiential encounters with the Word and the Spirit.

We are at a critical juncture as a society and as the Body of Christ because we have not focused enough on teaching the generations, i.e. the children and youth, New Testament truths with Holy Spirit encounters. Why do I add Holy Spirit encounters you might ask? Because the truths of Scripture are intimately revealed to each individual through relevant experiences; through encountering Holy Spirit’s presence. This entire journey is about an intimate, personal relationship with a living God, a living Word, and a living Spirit. It is not simply another academic subject to be taught.

The kingdom of darkness totally gets this. Satan is not stupid. He’s had thousands of years to practice his deception and schemes. He is using everything from religion to political correctness to our preschool-through-college education system to sports and entertainment in order to capture the generations in a ‘false self’ reality that many will spend the majority of their adult lives trying to figure out or ‘get over.’ There are few sectors in society that are not telling our children and youth who they are supposed to be, how they are supposed to think and act, how they are supposed to look, what they are supposed to do, etc.. Voices are screaming loudly at them from every direction luring them to attach their identity to the latest and greatest thing. Additionally, many are covertly taught they have no value if they don’t find themselves attached to and successful at whatever that latest and greatest thing is. I’ve been in the ‘church’ my entire life. In a number of ways, it doesn’t look a whole lot different than the world. How do we teach the generations to be in the world but not of it?

When we, the Body of Christ, have the Truth Himself indwelling our very being, awakened to and living from our true self, i.e. Christ IN us, our hope of glory, and ALL that He IS to us through His Word and by His Spirit because of the price He paid to demonstrate our Heavenly Father’s love to us, why would we choose to spend time on anything but New Testament truths that equip the generations in their true identity as a chosen generation and a royal priesthood seated in Heavenly places? We have got to shift the teaching of the generations to sonship, because if we don’t, the enemy is going to relentlessly make every effort through every means available to enslave the generations with a ‘false self,’ having no clue as to who their ‘true self’ in Christ is, wholeheartedly embracing an ‘orphan spirit’ that belongs to nothing and to no one, chasing from one thing to the next, manipulating, controlling, and spending much of their adult life living through or trying to get over who they think they are with the broken lens through which they view their life. Humanism and religion both contribute. To clarify: Christianity is not a religion. It is a living, personal, and intimate relationship with a living, personal and intimately loving Heavenly Father who has made a way through Christ for each of us to be adopted into His family as His sons and daughters. Unless our children and youth encounter (experiential revelation) Him as such it does nothing to help them understand who they are, what they are called and gifted to do, or how they are to be in relationship with others.

We live in the New Covenant. We have a Heavenly Father who is watching over all mankind in grace and love, as opposed to judgment, simply because Christ took on the judgment for the sins of all mankind (John 3:17), unless they refuse to receive His gift and until the day of the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelations 20:11-15). There’s much truth to be taught in the pages of the New Testament that the generations on the Earth today and the nations themselves are needing to have a revelation of in order to walk out our Earthly assignments at this appointed time.

Identity in Christ. What does that mean exactly for each and every child? If we, the Body of Christ, don’t teach the relevancy and significance of Christ-centered Truths in the formative years of every child in every family, who’s going to? The fruit of spending time teaching the generations good stories and entertaining them is rather obvious. The desire to believe in something of significance dwells within every individual. Every individual is born with an innate need to know who they are and what purpose they hold. Every individual is created with an intimacy need that our Heavenly Father alone can fill. We have come to a significant juncture, Church. Are we going to continue down the same path we have been on, having less and less impact on our culture and the nations, or are we going to answer the heart cry of a generation? Who am I? Why am I here? If we don’t answer those basic questions for all who ask, and even before they begin asking in the early formative years, through revelations of New Testament Truths, then the culture does it for us, and we end up where we are currently: marriage being redefined, recreational marijuana being legalized, the continued breakdown of families, abortion destroys another generation, behavioral disorders increase, as do anger and violence, etc.. Need I say more?

As darkness continues to increase, doesn’t Scripture exhort us to arise with His Light and His glory in the midst of the darkness (Isaiah 60; Matthew 5:14-16)? We need a reformation. Reformation begins with the Ecclesia sowing Truth into the individual from infancy on. The words we speak to, over, and about our children contain eternal life-giving power. (They also contain the power of death if we do not measure them carefully – Proverbs 18:21, James 3). We, His disciples, know the Truth. Knowing Him sets us free to be who we have been created to be and to do what we have been created and called to do. When we really know who we are in Christ, i.e. our ‘true self,’ we are empowered by Holy Spirit to bear fruit that aligns with the Word. We are called to steward our children and youth in a revelation of His truths.

I challenge the Body of Christ to begin delving into and discovering the infinite treasure chest of identity in Christ and New Testament Truths as their primary focus for equipping nursery, preschool, elementary, and junior/senior high aged children and youth in the NOW! I also challenge you to provide regular opportunities to encounter His presence, both at home and as the Body gathers corporately. This is truly the only way to see reformation and transformation begin to manifest at a time in His Story that has been precisely appointed!

Restoring the Foundations: From Orphans to Sons

Seeking restoration for your life (body, mind, soul and spirit), your family, or in your calling? Consider joining us for Restoring the Foundations: From Orphans to Sons, Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at Land of Promise Church, Buffalo, MN (free will offering). Contact me for any questions.

Do you or does anyone you know wrestle with any of the following issues?
1) Insecurity & jealousy?
2) Serving God to earn His love?
3) Medicate internal alienation through physical means, i.e. food, alcohol, drugs, etc.?
4) Driven by a need to succeed?
5) Use people as objects to fulfill goals?
6) Anger & fits of rage?
7) Always in competition with others?
8) Lack self-esteem?
9) Primary identity is through material possessions, physical appearance, and activities?
10) Add to that, manipulating &/or controlling others?

These are are ‘symptoms’ of an ‘orphan spirit’ at work. Holy Spirit came to guide us into ALL truth, so that He who the Son sets free is free indeed! The Father’s love is all about restoration: body, mind, soul & spirit! Join us for Restoring the Foundations: from Orphans to Sons, Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at Land of Promise Church, Buffalo, MN (free will offering). Message me for questions.

Matthew 5:13-16 (AMP),“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality), how can its saltness be restored?…Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.”

There is only One Healer. His body was marred beyond recognition in order that His healing could manifest body, mind, soul, and spirit on behalf of ALL who would call on His name. Holy Spirit reveals the details as to how/when His healing manifests. It is ALWAYS our Heavenly Father’s desire and will to heal. He uses His sons as vessels to release His healing. I am believing His healing to manifest throughout the Earth in this season we have entered in to, bringing glory to Himself and drawing many to the awe of who He is; bringing many to encounter His presence that alone can heal.

John 16:13 (AMP), “But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].” John 8:36 (AMP), “So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.”

His ways are higher than our ways, therefore, I am believing that as I press in to being His true worshiper, He will reveal the frequencies, the tunings, the keys, the settings, the harmonic progressions, the intention, and all else that is needed to bring restoration and wholeness to those He connects me with. There are many sound and healing therapists arising in this season when the cost of the medical treadmill is financially all-consuming, and many are seeking alternative solutions. Not all sound and healing therapists will give glory to the only One who can heal, however, and not all sound and healing therapists will lead you to the only Source of true healing and wholeness. Here I am, Lord, send me…

Your Destiny, His Glory

It is truly devastating to the Body of Christ when we don’t see or relate to one another through the lens of Christ within; through the lens of our Heavenly Father perceiving each of us through the blood redemption of Christ Jesus. Our Creator, Abba Father, created each one of us uniquely (Psalm 139:13-17), complete with strengths to do the work of His Kingdom, that are also weaknesses when unredeemed and on the journey of being sanctified. In Christ, we are all being transformed and renewed, and are called to walk in His grace. It’s time to put aside the ‘me-centered’ cultural mindset we have been inundated with for far too many years: it’s all about me, it’s all about my plans, my feelings, my wants, and about how you are impacting ‘me.’ Let’s also put aside the judgement mentality of thinking we are called to judge or condemn one another’s motives, intentions, circumstances, personality, actions, or giftings. Where relationships cannot view one another through His grace and through His Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven lens, because of a religious spirit or for whatever reason, we simply must release one another in His eternal forgiveness, dust our shoes off, and move on….just as He instructed His first disciples.

Neither does this mean we are to embrace one another’s sins. We are called to simply follow Holy Spirit leading to where He is at work convicting (not condemning) and drawing others unto Himself, for the purpose of Restoration unto Father God through the atonement of Christ’s shed blood. Jesus came to bring peace within us, not between those who won’t receive His Kingdom lens for this life (Matthew 10:34-36). We are in this world but not of it. Through Holy Spirit leading, purpose to be obedient and to find those He has called you to walk in one accord with according to each of your giftings. Following our Head, as the Body He has purposed for this hour in which we live, we can together reflect the light of Christ and His glory to a broken, lost, sick, hurting and dying world needing to know Him as Redeemer, Healer, and Restorer! (John 3:16-17)

What does any of this have to do with The Arts Expressed? Every gift in Romans 12 represents a unique color lens with which we view the world and others; each one of us is created as one of these seven gifts in our very DNA. When all seven colors/giftings flow in conjunction together following our Head, the end result is white light: His glory being reflected in and through His Body – His sons and daughters on the Earth in this NOW season!

I highly recommend the book, ‘Your Destiny, His Glory: The How and Why of Your Design’ by Ruthie Young (available from both the author and on Amazon). Believers need this NOW revelation from Romans 12:4-8 in order to walk in unity advancing His Kingdom for such a time as this! Why? Study Isaiah 60-61.

Eleven years ago next week, our family answered the very same call as the content of the *The Sacrifice of Thanks-sharing {Encouragement for Today} Devotion article below (totally worth your read, especially in this Thanksgiving season). For the very same reasons presented in the *article below, my husband and I traveled to Guatemala: to return to Minnesota with a precious sibling group, ages 5, 8 and 10, for the purpose of  sharing our family of five and all of the blessings we’d been given through our Heavenly Father’s love and goodness. We did not enter into the journey of family and stewarding all six children we’d been gifted lightly: we diligently, faithfully, and intentionally stewarded our covenant with the Lord, including homeschooling (for far too many reasons to list in this post). This past year has been the roughest of all the years (for also far more reasons than intended to express in this post), however, the Lord’s grace will see us through to the other side of our journey He has called us to (He told us He would), and He will receive all glory and praise. This Thanksgiving season we have added ‘the gift of donor life’ to our thankfulness, as the generosity of a donor family who endured the loss of their own young son in an accident, saved our youngest adopted son during his journey through kidney failure. Please lift up prayers this Thanksgiving season on behalf of all families who have experienced loss or illness, as this is most certainly a time to deeply reflect with heartfelt thanksgiving to the Giver of all good gifts for each and every blessing of life. Enjoy the Thanks-sharing perspective…

“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:15-16 (NASB)

‘Enough. That’s what I have. Really, more than enough.

More than enough clothes in my closet. Food in my fridge. Shoes spread on the floor. Cans in the cupboard.

My children have books, warm jackets, tennis shoes, pencils, and opportunities for more. I have clean sheets, soft pillows, a kitchen table, and indoor plumbing.

My husband and I have never taken our provisions for granted. Every day we are thankful for the blessings of our home and family. Yet eight years ago we were increasingly aware of what Luke 12:48b tells us, “When someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” (NLT) We felt an obligation to do something more with our blessings…(to continue…)’

New Adoption Story Book Illustrated by Jenna

Jenna Sorenson of The Arts Expressed has recently illustrated a newly released adoption story children’s book, self-published by Brian & Renae Calva. The Princess of Igotchu tells the story of the Calva’s daughter Olivia’s adoption, spun as a sweet fairy-tale. The Calva’s purpose in publishing The Princess of Igotchu is twofold: 1) to advocate for adoption, and 2) to raise funds for their summer mission trip to work with True Hope and the orphans they serve in Ukraine. Calvas are excited to be bringing a message of purpose and destiny to orphans of all ages. You could help them by sharing this link with your friends to help us get the word out.

Jenna is our oldest adopted daughter of three siblings from Guatemala. We wholeheartedly endorse bringing a message of purpose and destiny to orphans of all ages in every nation!
