I recently read a post written by Becky Fischer of Kids In Ministry International on Facebook that bears sharing again on this website.  I quote Fischer, because my husband and I were led down a path of perceiving and raising our children from infancy 25+ years ago through a Kingdom lens, all throughout having experienced what she references. Our family also traveled for several years with KIMI in both worship and teaching, and I read Fischer’s book prior to it even being published. My husband and I were led to raise our children to be Kingdom leaders, i.e. spiritual parenting, in contrast to what both Fischer and our family have observed throughout the years and nations. I concur that in 2018, in the church throughout America, Fischer’s perspective still rings truth. It’s why I wrote and released my newest curriculum in November 2017, The Children’s Heart Cry (Equipping A Generation To BE The Kingdom Of Heaven On Earth) (See Latest Products on the left side bar of this site or Amazon for more details). I include another valuable resource by Joseph Mattera at the end of this post, because it is NOW time for the Body of Christ to wise up and rise up!

Written by Becky Fischer – Kids In Ministry International

‘I travel all over the world speaking in churches and conferences across denominational lines. Here’s what I find: that children are not taken seriously as disciples of Christ in Christianity. In our churches we entertain them, play games with them. We tell them cute little Bible stories. We keep them busy, and we keep them out of our way. In our homes we love them, pray for them, bless them, and give them the best of everything. We lay our lives down for them as parents, self-sacrificing in order that our children can have what we never had.

But we seldom, in church or in our homes, seriously disciple them in the Christian faith—our faith that supposedly means more to us than life itself. And if we’re not careful, we’re going to lose them.

Take the challenge. Read my book “Redefining Children’s Ministry in the 21st Century.”

My heart is for the children to be equipped to BE His Kingdom come, His will be done, on EARTH as it is in Heaven. This is the other great resource I referenced above:
