Tomorrow our nation will again make history. We will either choose to go down a path that will continue to forever change who we, as a nation, were birthed to be, or we will choose to attempt finding our way back to who our founding fathers birthed us to be. There would be little disagreement regarding our nation being divided concerning these two paths, & that we are at a great crossroads. There is also an alarmingly pertinent question looming before us: what happens to a house/nation so divided; to a foundation that has been weakened, cracked or has begun to crumble?

Abraham Lincoln, during another critical hour in our nation, quoted the following: “A house divided against itself cannot stand,” a concept familiar to Lincoln’s audience as a statement by Jesus recorded in all three synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke).  (

We are again facing the peril of the times. We cannot continue down a path of division & expect to stand. Who are we to redefine the foundations of this great nation, whose independance & freedoms were fought long & hard for, & cost too many their lives; a blessed & great nation whose borders have been the dream & desire of multitudes having not been born here; a nation whose citizenship & opportunities are the dream & desire of masses?

A vote for righteousness will never divide, but will rather unify. There are various definitions for the word, ‘righteousness,’ however, the following is superior:

“The Hebrew word for righteousness is tseh’-dek, tzedek, Gesenius’s Strong’s Concordance:6664—righteous, integrity, equity, justice, straightness. The root of tseh’-dek is tsaw-dak’, Gesenius’s Strong:6663—upright, just, straight, innocent, true, sincere. It is best understood as the product of upright, moral action in accordance with some form of divine plan.” (

If we listen to & vote purposefully by the leading of the Spirit of Truth (as opposed to media, education, family/generational/cultural influence, religion, political party, human thinking/reasoning, etc), there will be no confusion, as candidates are clearly on one path or the other, & it’s time to choose the path our founding fathers established as the course of this nation; the path that has clearly brought our nation abundance & blessing, up to the point where it has been necessary to expose this great divide & two very different paths for the future of this nation, through its very blessings becoming vulnerable & easily shaken.

How did we get so far down a path that justifies a God-given right to define when the life of a human being begins or assume a God-given choice/right to decide whether a child lives or dies? How did we get so far down a path that justifies a God-given right to redefine the procreation of humanity since the beginning of time? How could a nation & its people be so divided on these two issues in the name of ‘love’?

When we cast a vote for a candidate in this election, we are accountable to know where the candidate stands on these issues. These issues are life impacting, as the impact on all future generations will be considerable, & they will impact whether the foundation of our nation stands or falls. One has only to read the history books to see that it indeed does repeat itself.

Matthew 19, 25, ‘And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand.’

‘Father, I pray through the eternal Blood of Christ & through His eternal Light, that our nation will unite hearts in crying out to return to You & all of the founding principles established by Your leading in the birthing of this great nation. I pray we will become once again, ‘one nation under God,’ & we truly are trusting in You alone to do what we by faith stand in agreement for You alone to do, not by might or power, but by Your Spirit. Hallelujah!!!’
